Ingredients
  1. 2 tbsp (25 mL) soy sauce
  2. 2 tbsp (25 mL) hoisin sauce
  3. 2 tbsp (25 mL) rice vinegar
  4. 1 tbsp (15 mL) five-spice powder
  5. 1 tbsp (15 mL) sesame oil
  6. 1/2 tsp (2 mL) each salt and fresh cracked pepper
  7. 1 tbsp (15 mL) grated fresh gingerroot
  8. 2 cloves garlic, minced
  9. 2 1/2 lbs (1.25 kg) Ontario chicken wings, separated and tips removed
  10. 2 tbsp (25 mL) honey
Instructions
  1. Mix together soy sauce, hoisin, rice vinegar, five-spice powder, sesame oil, salt, pepper, ginger and garlic; add wings. Marinate, refrigerated for 2 hours and up to 1 day.
  2. Grill wings, covered, on a greased grill over medium heat, turning occasionally until no longer pink inside, about 20 minutes. Brush with honey and grill until golden and caramelized, about 3 minutes.
